Residences:

  • Bell/Buzzer Information: Must be included in the order.

 

Apartments:

  • Bell/Intercom Information: Must be included in the order.
  • Collection/Delivery: Only at the ground floor or reception.

 

Businesses:

  • Reception: The shipment must be left at a staffed reception between 09:00 – 18:00.

 

Universities:

  • Student Halls Reception: The shipment must be left at the reception of the student halls. Please confirm with the university/student halls that collections and deliveries are allowed from the reception.

 

Hotels:

  • Reception/Bell Desk/Concierge: The shipment must be left at the reception/bell desk/concierge and specified in the order.

 

Airports:

  • Nearby Hotels: Only collections from hotels around the airport, not from the terminal.

 

Ports:

  • Collection/Delivery: We cannot collect from or deliver to ports or docked ships.

Collection Times:

  • Collections are carried out between 11:00 and 17:00 local time.

 

Delivery Times:

  • Deliveries typically occur between 09:00 and 17:00, but during peak periods, they may occur earlier or later.

 

Please note that notifications cannot be sent when the driver is approaching or has arrived at your location.

Σπουργίτης can usually collect a shipment from the next working day. However, this will depend on the collection location and the size of your shipment.

You should make your booking at least 2 working days before your desired collection date.

Typically, drivers do not call or send messages before their arrival. However, we request a local contact number in case the depot wishes to call in advance to ensure you are available before the collection.

The option to drop off items at a store is not available during the booking process. However, if you contact the Σπουργίτης team with your order number via email, we may be able to provide you with the address of a nearby store.

If your doorbell is not working, we strongly recommend placing a note next to the door or doorbell informing the driver that the doorbell is not functioning and asking them to knock on the door instead. If you live in an apartment complex where knocking might not be feasible, we suggest including a contact number in the note and requesting the driver to call you upon arrival.

Please be aware that we cannot guarantee the driver will call the provided number if the doorbell or intercom is not working.

Yes, you can add additional address information to help the driver find your address.

To add additional information:

Please contact the Σπουργίτης team to add any extra details that might assist the driver.

If No One Is at the Collection Address When the Driver Attempts Collection:

  • The driver will proceed to the next collection and will not return.

 

If Your Collection Was Unsuccessful:

  • Please contact Σπουργίτης as soon as possible to schedule a new collection for another suitable date. A new collection can typically be scheduled from the next working day. However, orders requiring a larger vehicle for collection, such as multiple items or heavy shipments, will require 24 hours to arrange the appropriate vehicle.

 

If Our System Records That the Shipment Has Not Been Collected After 24 Hours from the Collection Date and No Contact Has Been Made:

  • We will also send you an email to confirm if the shipment was not collected and the reason why. You can then schedule a further collection online by following the instructions in the email you received.

 

If You Were at the Collection Address All Day During the Collection Day:

  • Please contact the Σπουργίτης team to determine the reason for the failed collection and reschedule it for a date that suits you, at no additional charge.

 

By following these steps, you can ensure that any issues with missed collections are resolved promptly and efficiently.

The named sender does not need to be present. However, someone must be available between 11:00 a.m. and 17:00 p.m. to hand over the shipment to the driver.

Currently, we can only collect or deliver on weekends through our special service, and only if you have requested it via email, we have sent you the corresponding cost, and you have accepted it.

Please note that weekends differ between countries, e.g., non-working days in the United Arab Emirates are Friday and Saturday, so collection and delivery are available on Sunday.
